WebLayers and Project Realms Announce Partnership to Improve Software Development
CAMBRIDGE, MA - April 13, 2011
WebLayers today announced a formal partnership with consulting agency Project Realms. The partnership agreement means that joint customers will be able to leverage a combination of WebLayers’ automated IT governance technology with Project Realms’ Quality Assurance and process improvement dashboards to further enhance visibility into software development initiatives.
The platform agnostic focus of each company makes the partnership a natural fit; enterprise customers will gain greater insight into development quality across a wide spectrum of technology systems.
Our collaboration will provide a broader view into developer behavior and associated software development costs beyond governance,” says Jeff Papows, President and CEO of WebLayers.“
The combined efforts will see integration between WebLayers’ ability to govern software development activities against centralized policies and Project Realms’ aggregated software quality reporting functionality. These benefits carry over into combined dashboard reporting that will allow for a more detailed analysis of software artifacts, including both developer- and executive-level reporting on policy violations, bug tracking metrics and adherence to standards and best practices.
Joining the WebLayers network is a natural extension of the Project Realms business model,” says Jay Philips, President of Project Realms. “Our combined efforts will provide our customers with even greater Insights into the effectiveness of their software development activities.”
WebLayers develops software and provides services to Fortune 2000 companies that are striving to decrease the amount and magnitude of costly software errors. WebLayers technology enables a software architect or software developer to centralize policy management and distribute policy enforcement to support automated governance at every point in the infrastructure and across all platforms throughout the SDLC. Changes only need to be made once and are executed throughout the entire system. This delivers consistent policy management for all software development efforts. WebLayers governance policies are managed throughout the software development lifecycle and distributed from a central location while being applied appropriately in the right context.
